In order to effectively exploit this advantage, each district has actively chosen key plants and animals in order to plan and develop specialized areas with reasonable commodity scale to meet the demands of the market. Specifically, passion fruit plantation models, which have been established in Dak R'lap, Tuy Duc, Dak Song, Dak G'long Districts, have achieved high efficiency. Additionally, thanks to the evenly distributed network of rivers, dams and lakes, districts and town in Dak Nong have great potentials for hydroelectric development. In order to effectively exploit this advantage, many hydroelectric plants with different scale were set up and are serving the development of economic sectors and people here, such as: Buon Tua Srah Hydroelectric plant with 86 MW (Krong No District), Buon Kuop Hydroelectric plant with 280 MW (located in the territory of Cu Jut and Krong No), Dray H'linh2 Hydroelectric plant (Cu Jut); Dak R'Tih (located in the territory of Gia Nghia and Dak R'lap); Dong Nai 3 Hydroelectric plant, key ensembles of Dong Nai 4 Hydroelectric plant (Dak G'long)… Besides, thanks to the network of small streams, districts have many potentials for small hydropower development to serve daily life and production of remote and difficult villages, including: Dak Mam Stream, Dak Ro, Dak Ri, Dak Nang (Krong No District); Dak So, Ea Gan, EaDier (Cu Jut District); Dak R'lap, Dak R'Tih (Dak R'lap District); Dak R'Mang Stream (Dak G'long District)…

Along with potentials of high-tech agriculture and hydropower, districts and town also own great potentials for mineral resources, especially, bauxite in Gia Nghia Town, Dak G'long, Dak R'lap, Dak Song with reserves of 3.4 million tons and 30 - 40% bauxite alumina content. Other rare minerals are diverse, such as: resources of gold, jade gemstone and white sapphires in Truong Xuan Commune, Dak Song District; volfram, tin, antimony, raw materials for production of building materials such as: clay (in almost every district), kaolin clay for advanced ceramics (in Gia Nghia, Dak G'long), pozzolan as raw material for cement, ceramic tiles, basalt powder for soundproof, heatproof flooring tile production…At present, Vietnam National Coal – Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited has overall examined and piloted bauxite mining in some places. Especially, there are two major projects, including Alumin Nhan Co Plant and aluminum electrolysis plant with French technology. These plants have been put into operation with the capitals of approximately 12.000 billion VND, which will bring opportunities for related ancillary industries. Moreover, in the upcoming years, other districts in this province will promote bauxite mining potential in a large scale, contributing to the local socio - economic development with more jobs for workers. In addition to economic development potentials, when Ho Chi Minh Road is improved and expanded from National road no 14, some infrastructure projects in Central Highlands will be carried out and the Cambodia – Laos - Vietnam Development Triangle Area will be promoted, which helps localities in Dak Nong easily exchange and develop economic cooperation. Accordingly, localities' ability to attract investment will be boosted, the market will be expanded, the attraction of investing environment, therefore, will be improved. In that case, those localities will focus on developing their comparative advantages, such as: coffee, rubber, cashew, hydroelectric, building materials, mining industry and tourism.

With great economic potentials, favorable location, attractive investment incentive policies, open investing environment, localities are ready to welcome domestic and foreign investors and willing to create the most favorable conditions, strengthen incentives and create favorable conditions in all fields for investors to successfully finish their projects. On the other hands, local government will apply administrative reforms on investment fields, shortening evaluation and approval period for the projects with the aim of making the best use of nature's offers to improve and assert Dak Nong's position in the future.
