60% of socio-economic targets must be fulfilled by June 2018

On 8 May 2018, the Provincial People's Committee held a webinar with districts to asses socio-economic and national defense, public security performance in April; set up tasks for May 2018.

The webinar was chaired by Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Communist Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Bon, with the attendance of heads of provinical departments and agencies.

As reported, in April, socio-economic situation of the province is basically stable. The whole province had cultivated over 10,000 ha of crop for the Winter - Spring period, fulfilling 105% of the plan.

The total revenue from retail sale of goods and service was estimated at over VND1,000 billion, up 1.5% over the previous month.  Export turnover was $17.4 million, up 0.32% over March of 2018

The total State budget collected in the month was over VND173 billion, making the acccumulated  4-month figure of over VND485 billion, accounting for 42% of the province's estimate. Social welfare continued to be paid attention to; public safety and national defense were kept stable.

However, in April, the Index of industrial production (IIP) was down by 15.6% over the last month and the deforestration situation developed intricately.  In the month, the functional authorities had discovered and made the reports of 125 case of destruction with the recorded damage. Insecurities are implicit in the situation of traffic collision and commercial fraud.

Concluding the webinar, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Communist Party Committee, Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Bon underlined that to succesfully realized the socio-economic targets set up in 2018, within the May and June, 60% of the targets must be fulfilled.  Thus, in May, levels of authorities and agencies needed to review their own unit's achievement, through which,  discover existing obstacles and difficulties to deploy the intime remedial measures. Regarding the field of basic construction, the agencies needed to speed up the disbursement of capital, in which, pay attention to the site acquisition of the Project on Gia Nghia central lake because this is the project that took up the largest proportion of investment capital. About the field of administrative innovation, those units that complete their tasks behind the regulated time, causing adverse impact on the indice of administrative innovation must be subject to the evaluation with the view to inforcing administrative rules and disciplines in State agencies.
