On 4 June, Dak Nong Provincial People's Committee held internet conference with districts to asses socio -economic public security and national defense performance in May and set up tasks for June of 2018. Member of Permanent board of Provincial Communist Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Committee Tran Xuan Hai chaired the conference.

As reported, in May the situation of socio-economic development of the province continued to maintain the stable growth rate. The whole province received steady amount of rain , thus being favourabe to agricultural development. Along with stepping up the harvesting of Spring-Winter crop, the districts and town are focusing on cultivating the Summer - Fall crop, with over 13.000 ha cultivated till now.
The index of industrial production (IIP) in May was up by 5.57% over last month and up 5.66% over the same period of last year. The total of retail sale and service revenue was over VND1000 billion, up 0.6% over last month and over 6% against the same period of 2017.
Export turnover of the whole province was up by 8.8%, reaching the total of USD90.2 million. Total State budget collected in May was estimated at VND172.4 billion, making the estimated accumulated figure of the year till now of VND1,031 billion, accounting for 52% of the estimate assigned by the local authority.
Other aspects of culture, society, national defense and security were ensured. However, the situation of deforestration, forest land encroachment still developed intricatedly; serious traffic collision tended to go up in number; the progress of basic construction was slow because of rainy season...

Concluding the conference, Vice Chairman of Provinical People's Committee Tran Xuan Hai required that levels of authorities, agencies focus on implementing 10 major tasks and measures on socio-economic development in 2018; focus on curbing the deforestation and forest land encrouchment; remove the difficulties and obstacles for businesses. Relevant departments, agencies, units speed up the disbursement of investment for the building of major works. Localities, relevant unions and associations pay attention to guiding and holding approriate summer activities, ensuring that children and students in the province have a summer of happiness and safety.
